A Healthy 3 – 7 Day Detox Plan For Women

Let’s face it, we live in a world where temptation is literally, all around us. Take fatty foods for example, we know they’re bad for us as they cause us to gain weight and just generally make us unhealthy, but at times we do crave them, and often even give in to our cravings.

It doesn’t help that everywhere you look whether it’s the TV, in magazines, or in books, there are ads advertising these fatty products, which can make giving them up that little bit harder. There are other lifestyle and dietary choices that we should also aim at avoiding if we wish to be as fit and healthy as we possibly can, alcohol, tobacco, and large doses of caffeine to name just a few.

When we over indulge, we literally flood our bodies with toxins, which can take their toll on us both physically and mentally. The reason these choices aren’t considered healthy, is because they contain chemicals and junk which is no good for our bodies, and that is where a detox can come in so handy. If you wish to detoxify your body in just 3 to 7 days, then take a look at this simple guideline to help start you off.

Eat healthy:

Want to detox your body? Then you’re going to have to cut out the junk food and eat nothing but wholesome, fresh, natural foods. You need to be eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables as they’re loaded full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. For your carbs, consume beans, brown rice, fresh oats, and rice cakes, and for your protein, look at consuming fresh fish and seafood, as well as tofu and corn. Avoid meat, even the leanest, as it’s harder to digest than other foods. Forget frozen processed foods full of artificial ingredients, eat fresh, natural, wholesome foods and you’ll soon see and feel a huge difference.

Drink plenty of water:

Water is so, so important for any detox plan as it helps to flush toxins out of the body. Water supports the kidneys and lymph systems, as well as helping to keep us hydrated and helping to keep our metabolisms ticking over. Aim at drinking at least 3 litres of fresh water a day, with mineral being ideal, although filtered will also suffice.

Forget “diet” drinks:

Don’t be sucked in by clever advertising, there’s nothing diet friendly about these drinks, and they actually do more harm than good. Big corporations advertise them as being “diet” beverages, simply because they don’t contain sugar. So what, my TV doesn’t contain sugar, that doesn’t make it diet friendly. In place of sugar, they use artificial chemical sweeteners such as aspartame, which are actually carcinogenic (causes cancer) and posses a number of nasty side effects. Always stick with fresh water, just as nature intended.

Get enough sleep:

Sleep and rest is another key part of any detox plan, as the better rested a body is, the easier it will find it to eliminate harmful toxins in the body. Look at getting between 7 and 9 hours sleep a night, and try to sleep before midnight if possible.

Exercise:

Exercise is another key part of any detox process as it helps break down toxins and eliminate them from the body, as well as encouraging the pituitary glands and hypothalamus in the brain to release endorphins into the body, which are chemicals responsible for making us feel happy and confident. Exercise also helps us to lose weight and boost our fitness, which can only mean good things.

So there you have it, there’s no right way or wrong way to go about it, just ensure you incorporate each one of the suggestions above into your everyday routine, and within 3 to 7 days, you’ll see big improvements in your weight, your mood, your energy levels, your skin, and much more on top of that.

    My 3 day detox plan starts now and I am using everything that I am finding on this site. My Cleanse Plan is about to be a raw food detox for 7 days yet I am starting a 3 day juice fast cleanse first and then going to move into a plan of eating a raw food diet which is something I have wanted to do for a long time now.
