Honeydew Melon Recipes for Detoxification

Honeydew Basil Break-Fast

This simple salad tastes like a gourmet delight, but is a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, detox and digestive aid.

Lemon juice alkalizes and cleanses, and honeydew’s water to potassium ratio, in concert with vitamin K from the basil, supports muscle and nerve function, and calms the nervous system.

Basil also helps alleviate cramps and bloating. Ripe chilled melon with a pinch of high-quality salt will deliver the fullest flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 medium honeydew melon, skin removed and cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, chiffonaded
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
  • Pinch of Celtic sea salt, plus more to taste

Directions

In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients, and tweak lemon juice, basil, and salt to taste.

Fall Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup honeydew melon, peeled and chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup strawberries, hulled and cut in half
  • 1⁄4 cup blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice, plus more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint, plus more to taste
  • Pinch of Celtic sea salt, plus more to taste

Directions

In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients, and tweak lime juice, mint, and salt to taste.
