Screw the Scale, I’m a Perfect “10”

I woke up this morning, and walked into the bathroom.

I had an appointment with a scale.

I dreamt that the magic number I would see would 176.0 pounds. Instead, I saw 179.0 pounds. I thought I was going to get sad about this, but I have been thinking about multiple studies I have read that say that women’s weight fluctuates every day. Donna even wrote in today and said that from her research, women can gain or lose up to 7 pounds in any given day due to our changing water weight. I guess Donna and I were on the same wavelength!

So, I decided to focus on the bright side of life. I had a nice hot shower, and took a look in the mirror before I stepped in. I am looking go-o-od! My curves are gettin’ curvy. My face is looking thinner. Even my ankles look like they have lost weight.

I stepped out of the shower, and decided to take a look at my clothing options for the day. In my pants drawer I saw a pair of pants I bought over a year ago. When I bought them I bought a size smaller than I was because I thought I was just about to fit into them. They never fit me. I never wore them.

Today……………………………………. they fit.
I am wearing six 10 pants.

This is the first time I have worn size 10 pants for years. I have something to celebrate about!

I have heard people quote Ant from Celebrity Fit Club on Vh1, where he says at the end of every show “The Scales Don’t Lie”. Although that may be true in the long run, I think after looking at the scale every day for a while now, perhaps the scale isn’t lying, but it isn’t telling the truth either.

So screw the scale, I am lookin’ good!

Today, I feel like a “Perfect 10”.

And to all the ladies out there, you are beautiful, no matter what that scale says.
