Magnetic Therapy

Magnetic therapy has been in use for thousands of years. While this has been around for some time, it is only recently that serious studies have been conducted to prove the efficacy of magnetic fields on the body. Because the science is so difficult to recreate, studies are often faulty and difficult to prove. However, many people who undergo such treatment swear by it and see amazing benefits from the process. While scientific reports are lacking, there are still many reported cases of people benefitting from the effects. The process is an alternative therapy that is becoming increasingly popular as a means of staying healthy and assisting with illness and injury.

What is Magnetic Therapy?

The body naturally has a balance of magnetic fields and charged ions. When injury or illness occurs, this balance is disrupted, causing pain and discomfort. Magnetic therapy works to manipulate the magnetic balance back into harmony so pain and discomfort are significantly reduced. With proper application, oxygen flow and circulation is improved. This helps the body heal faster. Magnetic therapy is administered by a practitioner who is specially trained in this area.

However, there are numerous devices that can be used for home treatment as long as the instructions are carefully followed. There are devices that can be attached to specific areas of the body where pain is occurring to help reduce discomfort and speed the recovery process. There are also types of magnetic jewelry on the market for use in maintaining the natural balance and for assistance with chronic conditions. Such items are not only used for humans but can also be used on the family pets as well.

How Can It Benefit you?

It is reported that with proper use, magnetic therapy can be up to ninety percent effective. Swelling in inflamed areas can be reduced, allowing you to move more comfortably. The removal of positive ions from injured parts of the body allows the body to experience a significant lessening of pain in the affected area. Blood flow and oxygen are increased which allows the body to naturally heal faster.

Anyone who experiences chronic pain or pain due to a temporary issue can benefit from magnetic therapy.

How Long Does it Take to Work?

Some people report that there is an immediate sense of relief after magnetic therapy. Pain and swelling are significantly reduced and there is a visible improvement to the body as well as a decrease in pain. However, the speed of recovery and onset of relief is dependent on different factors. The type of equipment used and severity of the health issues are prime factors in how long it will take magnetic therapy to work.

The more severe the issue, the longer it will take. Sometimes multiple treatments will be needed over a course of several weeks to show significant progress. However, those who experience chronic pain are more than willing to use this holistic therapy to see an improvement even if it takes a few weeks. The therapy does not employ the use of chemicals or drugs and is the ideal alternative medicine for anyone with pain.
