Miscarriage and Neonatal Loss

We all know that at some point in our lives someone we love will die.  Never do we think it will be the loss of a baby or child.  If you are reading this page, you have my heartfelt condolences. 

Grief is a process; often a rocky, windy road  There is no one “right” way to grieve.  We all grieve differently and on different timelines.

Any pregnant woman can experience postpartum depression or anxiety, even if there is no live baby.  Many of the symptoms overlap with grief.  You don’t have to suffer alone.  Help is a phone call away.

The feelings associated with loss are many:

-shock and disbelief

-guilt, despair, and shame

-deep sadness and emptiness

-anger and resentment

-loss of control

-anxiety and worry

You are not alone, and you are not to blame.
