Reducing High Cholesterol: Stay in The Healthy Range

-

Reducing high cholesterol is very important because it can be life threatening. High levels can lead to potentially dangerous health issues such as strokes, heart attacks and cardiovascular disease.

Cholesterol is produced in our livers and is a substance that aids in many important physiological functions.

However, when you eat foods that help to produce an overabundance of cholesterol, it does not all effectively pass through the bloodstream and out of body as it should.

Instead, it begins to stick to the artery walls and causes the development of a sticky plaque.

This plaque restricts blood flow to the heart causing it to pump harder in order to get the blood to go throughout the body.

This added work strains the heart and can lead to an increased risk of a number of conditions. That is why reducing your cholesterol is vital to good health.
