How to Treat Skin Rashes?

Because scratching or rubbing a skin rash may cause it to spread or become infected, the most important treatment therapy for any skin rashes is to avoid unnecessary contact with it.  It is then important to treat its cause and relieve its symptoms of dryness, itching and / or pain.

The most popular home and over-the-counter topical remedies are cool water baths, oatmeal washes, chamomile tea compresses, as well as application of calamine lotion, corticoid cream and antihistamine ointment.  Effective natural moisturizers of dry and cracking skin are aloe vera, vitamin E and olive oil.

For more intensive treatment of persistent rashes; over-the- counter and prescribed oral medications such as antihistamines, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic drugs are very helpful.

  1. Wang Wei

A skin disease called congenital fever is thought to be confined to children; in broader perspective, it’s atopy from which even adult are suffering.
As with no specific causes proven authentic, there’s no ‘perfect’ cure for it. In most cases, this is treated with medicines like adrenal cortex hormone, steroid, anti-histamine; they temporary alleviates symptoms but not the fundamental treatments.
Oriental medicine, in that it can root out the disease, has been gaining support and interest. What’s to be done first when curing Atopy is to ease the itching.
Cooling abnormal and redundant heat, medicines to support the chill energy, called “Eum-ki”, should be taken. After taking some oriental medicine for that, patients may show any aggravation of symptom, but it’s temporary and doesn’t need to be counted.
The causes of atopy lies not in skin, but in five viscera and six entrails, so called “o-jang-yuk-bu”. So, there’s loophole in western medicine. No matter how great a medicine is taken, improper dietary, stressful environment and animal protein make it poisonous. Skin disease is that sensitive to outer stimulation.
As there’s no mathematics question unsolvable with knowing its basic principle, so is skin disease. For example, when itching cured by oriental medicine, a sound sleep is possible; a sound sleep lessens stress with toughening immune system. In this point of view, the treatment of atopy is in the same line with that; the curing for abnormal body rhythm.
It’s best to be cured before the age of puberty, and though missed, before marriage. Environmental changes and new stress near the time of marriage can be the worsening factors for atopy.
In terms of oriental physical constitution, atopy occurs mostly to “Sho-yang-in” and, to slightly less extend, to “Tae-eum-in”. Repeatedly to say, treatment should be made based on the physical constitution and symptoms.

  2. NG

The middle-aged people who are suffering rash commonly voice the changes over their bodies: hypofunction. They too often feel the dull pain in the chest due to the chronic fatigue and excessive stress. Moreover, they even feel the drastic emotional convulsion. When the stress gets severer, there appear some symptoms like irritable bowel syndrome and the decline of liver activity. Generally, tension, anger or frustration from stress have fairly bad effect on the physiological functions of human body. Rash, itching or all other pains become more serious from the side-effects of strain. Therefore, people should take much care of their health by their physical constitution and be totally aside from stress. Positive thinking and the efforts to manage a merry life are the royal road to wholesome life.
