Cleansing Juice for a Good Night’s Sleep

Our motto for evening juices: “savory for sleep”. Romaine, the star of slumber, helps calm the body for a good night’s rest.

Cucumber and celery are also great additions for evening juices as they replenish alkaline minerals, are natural diuretics, and are extraordinarily hydrating. Green apple sweetens the blend and aids digestion, and lemon adds a tangy twist and cleanses the liver. Boost with ginger for added digestive and anti- inflammatory support, a pinch of cayenne to stimulate the lymph for a deeper cleanse, and apple cider vinegar to encourage the proliferation of probiotics.


  • 1 rib celery
  • 1⁄2 romaine heart
  • 1⁄2 English cucumber
  • 1⁄2 lemon, peeled
  • 1⁄2 green apple, cored
  • 1⁄2 cup filtered water
  • 3 drops alcohol-free liquid stevia, plus more to taste

Optional boosters

  • 1⁄2-inch piece ginger
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper


1Push the celery, romaine, cucumber, lemon, apple, ginger booster, and water through your juicer. Strain any pulp.
2Stir in the apple cider vinegar and cayenne boosters, if using, and add stevia to taste.

    nice! thank you. Tried this one last night and wanted to come back and say that it helped me sleep great. Valerian root is usually what I use but because I have been taking valerian for so long now it does not work so well on me. Hawthorn is another good one! Yet this celery blend of yours works great for sleep too!

      Yes this is a really good one for getting some great sleep at night. I have also tried it. I also use Valerian root but have the same problem with getting used to it and then it not helping anymore. One thing that always works though is to use Melatonin!

      Wikipedia says:
      Melatonin is a hormone, produced primarily by the pineal gland, which regulates wakefulness. As a medicine, it is used for the short term treatment of trouble sleeping such as from jet lag or shift work. Evidence of benefit, however, is unclear.

      In my opinion supplementing with Melatonin at night is the best way to get a good night’s sleep. Period. It works every time for me.
