Super Fat Burning Detox Foods for Women


Women love to look fabulous, and they enjoy eating healthy food. There are specific super foods—foods with extra nutritional benefits—that should be incorporated into every woman’s diet. This smart decision may assist in lowering risks to cancer, make your heart healthier, sharpen one of our five senses or fight Alzheimer’s disease. The list continues and varies with the type of food, but one thing is crucial to understand: these are clean foods. There is not any woman that does not like chocolate—it is just not possible! Well, it turns out dark chocolate is a super food, containing antioxidants that protect the heart from heart disease and stroke. It is loaded with magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc and phosphorus that helps strengthen bones. Furthermore, studies have shown that it may help lower your blood pressure and sharpen your thinking. Just do not overdo it, ladies. The average serving is a quarter-ounce per day.

Ladies, let’s talk berries. We are talking about strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and so on. Many of them are rich in anthrocyanidins, a chemical that helps to protect our blood vessels and heart. This antioxidant may also improve eyesight and help fight cancers. They are delicious in yogurt, salads or oatmeal. Get creative.

Pumpkin seeds are another super food that women need to consider incorporating into their diet. The high amount of magnesium is beneficial to strengthening a woman’s heart. Additionally, pumpkin seeds relax the blood vessels, assist in bone and tooth formation, and may help with proper bowel function. The rich amount of zinc in pumpkin seeds may help with cell growth, sleep and mood, insulin regulation and sexual function. This is one power food you may want to invest your time in.

Similarly, bananas are a super food that are rich in potassium. This super food targets the blood pressure and the heart. Studies have shown that those that eat bananas have lower risks of heart attacks and strokes. Furthermore, bananas contain pectins, which is a form of fiber. This fiber aids in digestion and helps to regulate blood sugar. Do not overlook a wonderful super food that has a delicious taste.

Ants on a log were my favorite snack as a kid. I always enjoyed the celery, peanut butter and raisins, but I never realized how beneficial celery was at the time. This delicious vegetable helps aid in digestion, while helping to relieve stress. In addition, it helps reduce inflammation from joint pains, lung infections or asthma. Celery also combats cancers, increases your eyesight, lowers your blood pressure and reduces cholesterol. Do not oversight this super food—it may save your life!

Super foods are crucial to our daily diets. Many of us eat these foods each day without thinking of the health benefits, but these foods are great examples of what it is to eat healthy. Incorporate one or two in them in your diet every so often and you are going to start feeling more vital and energetic. They are super foods because they make you feel fabulous!

Fat-burning foods list

First, gelatin is most well-known as the power in boxes that makes homemade jell-o. Within this low-calorie snack, however, are well-hidden non-inflammatory amino acids. These amino acids consist of glycine, glutamic acid, proline and alanine. While your body does have the capability to produce all of these, the liver needs these to function normally. It helps your body “flush” the toxins out of your system, which is helpful when we want to shed those unwanted pounds.

Whole Grains

Whole grains are also a great choice to eat when trying to lose weight. Foods such as brown rice, popcorn and buckwheat are all excellent choices. In fact, your body burns whole grains twice as fast then it does when it breaks down processed foods. This is because processed foods are much higher in fat, cholesterol, sodium and carbohydrates. The body has to work harder to break it down, which may delay your weight loss.


Oatmeal may be a wonderful snack to burn fat and boost your metabolism. Plain rolled-oats is the healthiest oatmeal that you can eat because it’s low in carbohydrates. When it’s sweetened with berries, which are stocked full of nutrients and vitamins, oatmeal has the tendency to supply you with a lot of energy.  This would be a great food to eat to start your day or to crave that mid-day hunger. In addition, oatmeal lowers cholesterol and helps filter out the bad fat from your body.

Sweet Potato

On another note, sweet potatoes may not be a hearty vegetable to overlook as healthy vegetable. This low-calorie potato has a high-water content. In essence, this is going to help you lose weight much faster because water takes up the majority of room in your stomach. Also, sweet potatoes are going to leave you feeling fuller longer, which is going to decrease your appetite. Sweet potatoes also consider a considerable amount of fiber, which helps you prevent overeating at meals.


Turkey is another wonderful food if you are trying to lose some weight. A four-ounce serving of white meat only has 177 calories, while dark meat has 211 calories. Turkey is one food that relies on preparation to be healthy, however. For instance, some ground turkey contains the turkey skin. This can add fat content into the meat, which you want to look out at the supermarket. If you want lean turkey, however, go for the breast meat. The fiber and protein in the turkey are going to leave you full regardless.


Yogurt is an excellent fat-burning food for those that want to try something different. This handy breakfast food or snack is packed full of protein, calcium, zinc and many other vitamins. You can use it in recipes to make sauces, dips, toppings or stuffings. While some brands of yogurt may have high-calories, yogurt has probiotics. This is the friendly bacteria that’s going to keep our immune system healthy.


Also, pumpkins are considered a fat-burning food. This seasonal fruit helps slow down your digestion, which makes you feel fuller for much longer. Canned pumpkin, which doesn’t contain any sugar, is available year round. This opens the window to a whole year of pumpkin treats such as pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin butter or pumpkin chili.


Fish and sardines have always been known to help fight unwanted fat. While many enjoy fish such as cod or salmon, sardines often leave a bad taste in their mouth. This might be because sardines are more oily than other fish. Studies show that if fish products are ate at least three times a week, then it regulates a person’s appetite. This could be beneficial if you combine it with exercise.


Grapefruit is also a food not to excuse for weight loss. Many may have been turned off from grapefruit because of the high sugar content. Its fiber helps curb your appetite, however, and keep you fuller for longer. Just eating half a grapefruit at a meal can accelerate your weight loss. If you did this for several days, you would be well on your way to losing weight.


Furthermore, you may want to consider eggs as a fat-burning food. The secret to eggs is their protein, which is recognized as energy in the body. Protein helps you build muscle mass as you start losing your weight. Protein also decreases your appetite, which are going to do a fat better job than carbohydrates. So go ahead; have eggs for dinner.

Finally, do not forget about coconuts. This delicious fruits comes in many varieties such as shredded coconut, coconut milk or coconut oil. Researches have studied coconut oil in the sense that helps reduce unwanted abdominal fat. In fact, those that consume 2 tablespoons of coconut oil daily consistently see a smaller waistline in than others who do not follow this routine.

It’s important to remember that we can not lose weight just by eating. While these foods target a specific area of our body, they are not a substitute for an exercise program.     @ natalie Unless you are eating almonds by the bucket its ok to eat them every day. I’ve never head of limiting almond consumption, but I suppose it depends on how many almonds you eat each day. If you find magnesium helps you sleep, you can always take a supplement. That way you know exactly how much magnesium you are taking.

    @ Sheryl Healthy but can be fattening if you eat a lot of them. They are calorie dense so calories can add up quickly.
    They are healthy but they do contain high level of fats (healthy fats) and calories.
    The serving sizes are also quite small for a high calorie intake so you need to limit your portion sizes.

    @ Sheryl Both. Macadamia nuts have healthy fats and protein but those fats make them high in calories per serving. Peanuts technically aren’t nuts, but the same is true in that they have protein and healthy fat but are high in calories. There are nearly 1,000 calories in a cup of macadamia nuts and over 800 calories in a cup of peanuts.

    I replaced mayo and heavy cream with yogurt a long time ago. Mayo didn’t do it for me taste wise, it was just too fat, and this helped me ditch stomach fat. My abs are way more defined and I achieved this without working out more or skipping meals.

    My body tolerates dairy products pretty good so I eat as much as I can. I start my day with some yogurt and fruits and then have one or two snacks with yogurt and various nuts I have handy. Cheap, effective and very healthy, especially if you make your own yogurt from time to time.

    Coconut oil is so good for you. I use it in all my cooking and also add ground coffee beans to it and use it as a body scrub. It leaves my skin so soft. Yogurt and sweet potato are on my daily menu as well. I love it when I read an article about healthy things and I already have them as part of my diet, it makes me feel like I am on the right track.

I’m rather picky when it comes to foods that I do and don’t like, so I thought I’d be finding more things like, grapefruit, on the list. I’m sorry, no matter how much it might help me loose weight I’m not going to eat grapefruit. But I can eat popcorn, fish, eggs, whole grain breads, etc. Thank you for the great list.

For every gram of dtiraey fiber consumed, you will flush 7 calories from your system through elimination.If you were to eat a normal amount of food (good food) say 2000 calories,but 40 grams of fiber, say a orange(10gr) apple(5gra) wholebread(5gr per slice=10), maybe fiber snack bar(10) pear(5) just example, you also eat a small amount of protien (chicken, fish etc, no skin) ok so now you formulate the grams of fiber at 40grams, 40 times 7 =280,,,,,,,,ok calorie intake is 2000,,,,,,, 2000 minus 280(calories lost through stool elimination) equals1720 calories . You do however still need to burn those calories through some sort of movement, housework, excersize, etc, whatever you normally do, for every movement theres a certain amount of calorie loss(ok not really loss, but use.) Also eating small portions several times a day helps, eat some thing every two to three hours during the day, it keeps the metabolism working throuhout the entire day, so the body constantly burns calories.

    Well gosh I hope not. Chocolate is/was (still is) my downfall when it comes to dieting. Though, what I found that helps is buying the little chocolate chip bags, and limiting myself to 5 morsels a day. Usually the first 2 included in a snack, and the remainder for my pre-workout snack after dinner. To stop myself from devouring the whole bag I make granola bars with the rest for the kids, and cookies if I’m feeling cheaty.

    Also did not know that sweet potatoes are good for losing weight. I guess you are right about the fact that they will make you feel fuller longer. I haven’t eaten this in 1-2 years I think, but I am going to start eating it weekly.

    I wonder if pumpkin seeds are also good for this because I eat a lot of them. Whenever I feel hungry between meals, I go get a couple of seeds and I feel full after a couple of minutes.

      So much easier said than done! Of course, it’s easier to just take it slow and much easier if your family cooperates as well. I can imagine how hard it could be replacing junk food with fruits and other healthy snacks when a family member is scarfing down cookies right in front of you.

    Any advice on simple diet swaps that are actually filling. I’ve swapped popcorn for chips, but I tend to eat the entire bag in one sitting, because it’s so handy and I don’t get full from it as quickly as I do from chips and cookies.

    I think it’s all about moderation. I eat a little a couple of times a week as a dessert and I don’t feel any guilt over that. You have to feed healthy food to your body but sometimes you also have to feed your soul…you know get that “hmmm that’s so good feeling”. I don’t think I will ever give up chocolate it’s my simple indulgence.

    I know that chocolate can mess up your diet plan. But in very large amount it can be problem for you. I eat dark chocolate everyday after dinner with my family but in small amount like 1-2 piece only. It will not create any problem at all.

    I do not know if chocolate has any benefit to our body. But one thing is for sure, chocolate always tastes good.

    I think it is better to avoid chocolate as much as possible. After all, it is a processed food and we know processed foods are never good for our bodies.

    I think eating chocolate once in a while is perfectly fine. However, too much of anything is harmful and chocolate is no different.

    If you love chocolate, try to eat it sometimes but not regularly. If you are overweight or obese, perhaps it is good to avoid chocolate.

    I love myself some chocolate but I try to eat only 2 or 3 pieces a day but only dark chocolate, at least 70% cocoa. I honestly don’t believe in having a sugar free diet and staying away from any sugary treat out of the blue because your body can’t adapt this fast to such a drastic change, especially if you used to have something sweet every day. Take things slowly and try to replace unhealthy, sugary snacks with dark chocolate and you will manage to lose weight but also have something sweet.
