Water: Health & Detox Benefits

Today I want to talk about water.

There are a couple of different strategies that you can use with water, and they can really help you in maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine!

The first strategy that I want to talk about is drinking water before your meals.

And the second one I want to talk about is drinking water right when you wake up.

So let’s talk about the first one.

Drinking water right before your meals.

So this may seem obvious.

You know everyone should know this but actually a lot of people forget to drink water.

So how can you utilize this strategy.

So let’s say for example you have a big dinner, you have a buffet, it’s your friends birthday.

But at the same time you don’t want to over eat.

Well water can aid you in making sure that you don’t overeat.

For example you can go to the faucet and you can drink four to five glasses of water

And what you’re going to do, is fill your stomach.

That’s going to send signals to your brain telling you that you’re full.

So your brain doesn’t understand the difference between hunger and thirst.

So in a way you’re tricking your brain into telling you that I don’t need that much food.

So therefore when you go to your buffet, or your big dinner, you’re not going to eat as much and your calories are going to be lower allowing you to lose more weight.

The next strategy is to…

Drink Water when you Wake Up

So this one is very powerful in so many different ways.

Let’s say you had a great night’s sleep, you’re feeling high energy and feeling good.

Awesome right.

Well actually you can feel even better.

  • You take the glass of water right before you go to bed.
  • You put that water by your bedside.
  • As soon as you wake up take that water chug it down.

And what’s going to happen is it’s going to send signals to your brain, saying OK let’s go, I’m awake!

Also it’s going to turbocharge your metabolism and make you burn more calories throughout the day.

And with the principle number one it’s going to fill you up, and you’re not going to eat as many calories for your breakfast.

So these are just a few different strategies you can utilize with water.

There are so many.

And I know it may sound a little bit obvious to drink water, it’s important to remember because really it is so so important and I urge you to drink more.

Now go drink some water!
